You've Been Where!?
I've been lucky enough to have traveled a lot in my life so far— here is everywhere I've been and everything I've seen.
Hey, it's me again!
I hope you've all enjoyed the holiday weekend, whether you celebrated or not. Here in NYC it was gorgeous, so I definitely spent some much needed time outdoors myself.
Today I wanted to take the time to share more about my past travels, and what made me decide to try my hand at travel blogging.
Islands, Mountains, Cities and More
Growing up in South Florida, everyone tells you you live where people vacation— which is true! South Florida is known as the Sunshine State for a reason, duh. But beyond our sunny beaches and many parks, my parents wanted to show my sister and I so much more than that.
As a child we went to all the amusement parks in Orlando and to visit family in NYC and Dominican Republic. But as my sister and I got older, our vacations became more adventurous and took us further from home.
In Dominican Republic we've been to my grandfather's rural town of Tamboril, Santiago De Los Caballeros, Puerto Plata, Punta Cana, and Jarabacoa. We've seen everything from gorgeous white-sand beaches, to mountains, rivers, and jungles (and all the crazy roads in between).
As a family we have also visited San Juan & Rio Grande in Puerto Rico; Freeport, Bahamas; and several U.S. states, including Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and most recently Hawaii.
I've also been to the Netherlands without my family and visited Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Kinderdijk, Capelle ann den IJssel, Giethoorn, and Utrecht!
And the most recent trip I went on (a girl's trip with my Mom, sister, and two aunts) was to Toronto & Niagara Falls in Ontario, Canada. It was my crazy idea to get tickets to see Bad Bunny in Toronto since they were way cheaper than tickets in Miami or NYC— and it worked! #ElUltimoTourDelMundo was AMAZING, and so was Toronto.
I feel blessed to have seen all of these gorgeous places, and being able to continue traveling on my own.
And with that, I'll leave you all to wonder where I'm off to next! Comment your best guesses on my Instagram post about today's blog, and we'll see on Friday when I publish my next blog post if you were right. :)
(If I've already spilled the beans to you: no, you guys can't guess because that spoils the surprise. And my next post! LOL.)
Catch you on the flip-side,
Megan
Great pics but the videos with the beach waves were fantastic! I can listen to them and feel like I am there :)
Just when I thought you were done listing places, there was a whole other section!! You’re the type of person I need travel planning advice from.
